Born and raised in Shanghai. Lived and learned in Los Angeles. Melody Li is a current undergraduate at the University of Southern California studying Biological Science and minor in Fashion Design. Her curiosity about the natural world first began through observation—looking through a telescope, learning to notice distant details that might otherwise go unseen.

Photography became a natural extension of that habit of looking. Melody began carrying a camera to capture the moments she encountered: quiet gestures of care, traces of human presence within landscapes, and small scenes that reveal larger stories about culture and environment.

Through her work, she approaches photography as a way of observing the world slowly and attentively, allowing each image to hold the tension between what is seen, what is expected, and what remains beyond the frame.
